HURAC participated in the dissemination workshop of the socio-economic profiling results of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and host communities, organized under the PESoP project.
The workshop aimed to present key findings from extensive fieldwork conducted across five municipalities, including:
- Large-scale registration of IDPs
- Socio-economic profiling of both IDPs and host communities
- Key achievements:
- 32,696 IDPs registered
- Development of thematic mapping
- Production of strategic briefs and information sheets
The profiling provided critical insights into the realities faced by vulnerable populations and helped identify major challenges across key sectors:
- – Health
- – Nutrition
- – Education
- – Access to legal documents
A comprehensive exit strategy was also presented, highlighting the commitment of local councils, civil society organizations, cooperatives, and partner institutions to ensure the sustainability of project outcomes.
A documentary showcasing the project’s impact was also screened during the workshop.
The event concluded with strong remarks from project leaders and institutional partners, encouraging all stakeholders to build on the achievements and strengthen future interventions for displaced and host communities.
At HURAC, we remain dedicated to:
- Promoting social inclusion
- Strengthening community resilience
- Advocating for the rights of vulnerable populations
Together, let’s turn data into action for lasting impact!
